Indications

  • – Isolated quad weakness/ paralysis
  • – Lower extremity weakness
  • – Knee instability in sagittal plane during stance phase
  • – Increased stability compared to free or offset knee joints
  • – Grade 3-5 hip extensor strength

Contraindications

  • – Impaired cognition
  • – Knee flexion contracture greater than 10 degrees
  • – Greater than 10 º genu varum/valgum
  • – Greater than 265 lbs
  • – Less than 10º of ankle motion
